Weekly Newsletter
Studies show that parent involvement can increase success in school. One easy and important way teachers can help parents stay informed in the primary grades is through a weekly newsletter. The following is an example of a newsletter written for a second grade classroom. It gives a quick overview of what has been going on in the classroom and outlines what homework will be sent home the following week. It also gives important dates that are coming up. Many of these dates are times where parents would be invited to join the classroom and additional information would be sent home with specific details.
